Andrew Gold - CIOVITA
Life in Motion
CIOVITA, a combination of Italian and Latin words meaning “Life in Motion” was founded in 2016 in Woodstock, Cape Town, South Africa by Andrew Gold, Freddie Enslin and Karlien Spamer, and is currently internationalising with a shift of its headarters and ownership to Amsterdam. They are the offical global leader jerseys and apparel supplier to the Epic Series of events (Cape Epic, 4islands Croatia, Swiss Epic, Andorra Epic and Wines 2 Whales).
Earlier this year, CIOVITA entered into a
3-year partnership with Cycle Capital, becoming the official clothing supplier to our elite, amateur women's, paracycling team and club members. We spoke to Andrew when he was in Amsterdam to open the new CIOVITA store-in-store at Wheelrunner.
Why does CIOVITA support Cycle Capital?
At CIOVITA, we’re proud to align with Cycle Capital because we share a common vision — building a global cycling community grounded in passion, performance, and purpose.
As we launch our brand in Amsterdam and take CIOVITA from Woodstock to the world, it’s important for us to connect with partners who are genuinely invested in growing the sport from the ground up. Cycle Capital represents that spirit, and we’re excited to be part of the journey.
What are your expectations of Cycle Capital as a club?
We see Cycle Capital as more than a club, it’s a platform. One that can nurture talent, create community, and connect riders with the broader cycling ecosystem.
Our hope is that it continues to support riders at every level, while building a strong, credible name in the European cycling space - something we can proudly associate our brand with as we grow internationally.
How do you think Cycle Capital can contribute to (pro) cycling?
Cycle Capital is in a unique position to act as a springboard for emerging pro riders. By offering structure, guidance, and visibility, it can help bridge the gap between community cycling and elite racing. More than that, it can foster a cycling culture that’s inclusive and aspirational — which is exactly the kind of environment we want CIOVITA to be part of as we expand globally.
What is the added value of the business network / partnerships for your (business) community?
As CIOVITA grows our presence in Europe, strong partnerships are key. The Cycle Capital network brings together people and brands who share our passion and values. It’s not just about selling kit - it’s about exchanging ideas, driving innovation, and building something bigger than ourselves. From Woodstock to Amsterdam, collaborations like these help us inspire more people to ride, and that’s what it’s all about.
We look forward to a successful collaboration together!
